The first flower to show itself on the new farm were of course daffodils. The most friendly of flowers welcoming in spring.
The sunny daffodil always makes me feel like I’m seven again. As a kid, I remember my mom having me pick daffodils in the backyard and wrapping the stems in a paper towel then another wrap of tin foil. This haphazard bouquet was for my teacher when I was little. I thought I was pretty hot stuff on the bus with my daffodil bouquet for the teacher.
