We live in what the Buffalo Newscasters call the Snow Belt. You know Buffalo gets lots of snow… I’m sure. But here in the Souther Tier of New York we get even more. Soooo today was a nice break. There were actual spots of grass. Bits of green OHHH MY!
Apple Trees are budding… Let’s home they don’t freeze like last year after they bloomed. The apple harvest of 2012 was not good at all!
The giraffe’s are ready to be let out of their corral. Not yet though… Too windy!
The coldest water around. Belle will be the first dog in the pond. She loves the cold weather.
What’s that could it be blue skies. Yes we get excited with blue skies!
Two lone cattails made it through winter. Hearty stalk! (I couldn’ help myself!}
And hear we goooo! Are you ready? We found the crocuses popping up!
Now that is spring!
And look it what else is popping up. Joy! Dandelions.
We’re on Ice Watch for 2013? Any takers on when the ice will melt this year. We drove over Chautauqua Lake yesterday and saw people walking on the ice in the middle of the lake. I can’t even say that’s brave just absolutely insane.
The Pear Tree is Blooming once again.
My dad grabbed my camera and went running to the robins. Yes, we had robins this afternoon too! Spring is definitely hear. He read the Audubon article in the paper that first sign of spring is not the robin but the hummingbird… Ahh if I wait for the hummingbird to come out we’re in summer!
AND NOW THE MARATHON OF SNOW DROPS… Deal with it. I like my snow drops!
They smell good too! Just in case you don’t get down there and smell them!
Let me live in bliss today… Snow’s in the forecast once again this week
