Virtual Pin boarding with the FlexHolder and Corkulous
I remember that when Corkulous was released I was intent on downloading it immediately so that I could have a virtual idea and pinboard right on my iPad. When I opened it I was not disappointed with the quality of the app, the clean graphics, and the customizable options available. The ability to have multiple boards for specific needs such as an inspiration board, a place to store various ideas, to do lists or whatever you needed to organize your thoughts and tasks seemed invaluable. This app had everything I needed. However, what I realized over time was that I did not have a physical board in my life like this so I rarely used the virtual one. As beautiful and functional as the app was I began to use it less and less. The time it took to assemble the boards that I was using and how little I referred back to them did not constitute having this app as a permanent resident on my iPad.
I still see Corkulous in my purchased section of my App Store and hesitate a moment thinking that I may still have a use for it yet. Inevitably, I pass it by but I know that at some point Corkulous will come in useful for some project or need in the future. If you have seen the app and wondered if you would use it regularly or if it would even be useful for you look around your office a moment. If you see a lot of post it notes stuck to every surface or an existing pin board that is chuck-full of material this may be just the app that you have been looking for. Either way for the price it may be just right to try out.
