We started planting on June 1st. I’m still planting. Watermelon went in yesterday. We have had some issues with our hosting company and had to switch hosts for the blog. These pics are from about two weeks ago. One good thing is I actually see the progress we’ve made and feel a little relief. It was just a field two months ago so there is definitely progress.
It’s been a very WET spring. Not so fun gardening when you’re completely covered in mud. Also, we have the worst soil known to man. There’s so much clay the water just sits on top for days with no draining. Bruce has been trucking soil over from some hills fo dirt we found behind the barn and we’ve had yards of compost delivered to the house. It’s definitely a process.
Got lots of radishes.
Our cement table made it out. Bruce and I got it to the middle of the garden. Then had to call in reinforcements to lift the top onto the base. Our poor neighbor Duane came over under false pretenses. Help us move a table ohhh didn’t we mention it’s made of concrete!
Note to self need more cucumbers. Here’s one coming up.
Some overviews we took from the barn. Feeling better, because we’ve done even more since these were taken. Gravel paths are in. And all of those plots are planted.
My handy dandy glove holders.
