I saw this first in Spring Hill nursery and I became obsessed with it. I had to stalk him in the nurseries and on line. Then on a stop on one of our many flea trip excursions we found it in a nursery, Chautauqua Tree Farm. It’s on West Lake Road near Andriachio’s.
Online it claimed white, pink and green variegated leaves reaching only a height of 8′ tall. Perfect for my small little garden. Well this spring he had reached to our third floor! Which led to the purchase of electric trimmer. Beastly had to be contained! As you see he’s a nice ball. With his dramatic growth spurt he’s lost a bit of his pink luster. But I still love him. Plus when the leaves drop the branches turn a bright red in fall. Our ugly brown birds like to hide and play in it.
