Country living isn’t all glamorous folks. It’s not all yellow finches, gardens and great sunsets. Oh no. Sometimes you go out to the studio with this being delivered in your backyard.
Full disclosure… I share the dark side as well! The Septic System!
Frozen Ground is one of the issues of closing on a house in mid December. The health inspectors can’t come out and test your septic system. So when the thaw came to the frozen tundra we made the call to get it underway. Hints of some foul-smelling odors on the porch told us the system probably wasn’t going to pass. The health inspector came out three times to find the leak. A dye is put in your toilet and if you see it outside you got a leak. And of course we had a leak. The money for the system is held in escrow by the previous owner for these updates.
So meet CR Construction out of Frewsburg, our new best friends. They were here for about 3 days laying in a new leach field.
Told you glamorous.
My view from the office.
I have a heaping workload this last month so I put my dad in charge as my go to man. He was all up for the task he’s not one to miss out on large equipment and digging of big holes.
Scott and Gordon didn’t run down one peony bush out back! I plan on moving the bushes to a new garden after they bloom. So they get two thumbs up from me on saving the peonies and doing a great job.
Yes, a massive system! All for two people. I assume I shall have no issues in the near future.
Now we wait for landscapers to come and plant some seed to regain our lawn.
