Ok… Here’s a secret. I was seafood hag through college. Wait? What? Yeah you heard me. Seafood Hag. One of the joys of finding a job in a small town is that you get such glamorous positions. So I got a job at the local grocery store and they put me in the seafood department. I love seafood… Not so much the job. On the other hand I know my way around a few fish and know how to open a clam. So here’s my story… it’s legal in my world to eat imitation crab for a couple of reasons. I live south of Buffalo and fresh crab you aren’t gonna find all over the place. Secondly, at the end of the work day, I’m in the mood for some fast dinner ideas and imitation crab does the trick. Now I think they should come up with a different name. YES, I know it’s a conglomeration of things. But it’s tasty and I’ll go with it. So would I make this recipe with real crab. You betcha! Just not on a day where my internet cable to the studio broke down, lots of deadlines and where I had to move a couch. Imitation crab will do and guess what it was yummy and cheaper than 29.95 a pound.
