"I honour the place in you where the entire universe resides... a place of light, of love, of truth, of peace, of wisdom. I honour the place in you where when you are in that place and I am in that place there is only one of us." - Mohandas K. Gandhi
By far my worst habit is not taking care of myself. I will put clients, house projects, and absolutely anything ahead of exercising. I have to constantly make an effort to get up from my desk when I’m programming and move around or for that matter take a drink of water.
My fit bit is scheduled to go off every morning at 10:00 to remind me to get up from my desk and get moving. So if you call around ten assume you won’t get in touch with me. I always wonder what kind of work ethic people have when they say OHHH I would never get any work done if I worked from home. Without our dogs and Bruce to remind me I would never stop. The mountain of work is always there. I’m in the studio at 7 and leave around 4 or 4:30. Sometimes I do some marketing for the studio at night. Then mix in there remodeling a farm house and I’m always keeping busy.
Which is why my favorite exercise is yoga and walking. It’s meditative and relaxing to me. Also, it’s not so wrenching on my body since I’m still recovering from a bad back and leg. For the past couple weeks, I’ve really been doing my best to put my health ahead in my list of priorities. It’s a strange guilt that I fight with internally. I try to silence the voice that says… I need to finish this or that project first. SHHHH voice. I’m allowed a walk.
I’ve been tracking away on the fitbit and realized I don’t have the nutritional facts on our recipes. So within this week you should see our recipes in the pantry have a list of nutrients for you. Just in case, like me you need to add some data into your fitbit food log. Now don’t be confused some of the recipes aren’t the healthiest but everything in moderation.
