Truth, I didn’t make it till midnight. I’m not a midnight kind of gal. I’m a just before dawn kind of girl. I was up before the sunrise, hoping and waiting for a glorious sunrise to greet me to the new day and new year. I could lie and say there was the perfect sunrise but who wants to start out with a lie. It’s a grey, gloomy day in Western New York but I do have hints of snow which I’ll take.
This weekend our Christmas paraphernalia travels back to the attic and we unleash our tools and start-up renovation station in the house. This weekend’s project tear out a closet and add a bar and I still have a nasty rug on the stairs that needs to be torn out. I found this quote this morning that would have gone perfect with a pretty sunrise… I still like it and makes 2016 seem full of hope. 16 is my lucky number so it’s just has to be the year for me.
And now from yonder hill the sun’s bright beams
Shine through the mist, and flood the world with light;
The path winds on, leaving our broken dreams
Of tangled briar and brake far out of sight.
The dawn of hope has come our heart to cheer;
The path before us shines in the sun’s ray.
We follow on, into the coming year,
And in hope’s sunshine greet each op’ning day.
Enjoy each day!
