Quick fax using iFax and the FlexHolder
In business you never know when you need to send and receive a fax. I also realize that it is much easier to send an email with an attachment these days but there are still those businesses out there that hold on to the fax. I was recently required to send something via fax and it got me to thinking if there was an app out there that would allow me to both send and receive faxes on my iPad. I took some time and found iFax, a fully functioning portable fax machine. The app itself is free but it costs to send a fax each time you send one. The rates are $.99 for up to five pages and go up from there. The good thing here is that the amount of faxes I send and receive is minimal but sometimes it is imperative that I get a document faxed and I am out of the office. When it comes down to it paying per fax is convenient especially if you have a time limit to get a document faxed in. The ability to have access to using the onboard document scanner via my camera to make a copy and then fax documents all within minutes makes this app invaluable to me. I still believe in emailing of attachments but this is always good to have in a pinch.
