The stars and stripes are flying high at the farm thanks to my parents. Bruce and I are rounding our 12th wedding anniversary next month. My parents surprised us with an early anniversary present of a flag pole installation. They gave us a heads up and we had to pick the spot for Friday’s installation.
One night after work Bruce pretended to be the flag and we found the perfect place out front in the middle of our horse shoe driveway where it could be seen by the road and through our kitchen windows. Now that it’s up it looks like it’s always been there.
It’s flying high at 20 feet gracing our front yard. Thank you to Geer-Dunn for digging a hole on a very hot Friday afternoon and letting my family watch while we had some wine and appetizers. And a special thank you to my parents for always coming up with the best presents.
