We’ve been deep into studio renovation all summer. Covered in grime, dust and paint. We shall call the Summer of 2015 the year of paint. You know those blogs that only show you the beauty shots… well I’m not that blog. Transformation from dirty garage to studio is hard and some days not pretty. Painting of the walls is now complete. If you need to remember where we started check out the first post.
This is what the garage looked like during our walk through when we first toured the house.
Then what it looked like when the movers mixed our stuff with the mounds of stuff from the previous owners.
915 Square Feet of painted walls. That’s more than half the size of our whole house on Prather. 2600 pounds of metal has been delivered to the scrap yard during the first haul. That’s right…. 2600 POUNDS just the first load.
We chose Snowbound and Svelte Sage as the colors based on an inspiration photo from Pinterest.
A little glimpse of hope in one corner. We glossed up the door to a shiny black.
Took two layers of paint. We’re so lucky!
Crisp Clean White Walls!!! YAY!
Bruce painting the last section. We had a deal. I do bottom he does top.
